D-mannose supplements come in two common formats: gummies and bulk powder. What changes between them is everything around the ingredient - what the label declares for sugar, what a serving looks like, and what your daily routine has to accommodate.
1. Sugar: read both lines of the panel
The sugar facts are product-specific: Total Sugars and Added Sugars appear as lines on the Supplement Facts panel, and the ingredient sources sit in the Other Ingredients list. Under 21 CFR 101.36, these nutrients are listed when their amounts exceed the thresholds that can be declared zero - so a missing line is not proof of absolute absence. Compare the amounts shown on each actual product's panel, along with its ingredient list, rather than assuming from the format. Our own gummy label, quoted below, shows what those lines look like in practice.
2. Serving size: fixed pieces vs. measured scoops
A gummy serving is a fixed count - two pieces on our label, with the count stated on the label. A powder serving is a stated weight, with the measuring method printed on the label - a scoop, a packet or another measure. Either way, compare the declared amount of the ingredient itself per serving, not the serving's size: two gummies and one powder serving can declare very different D-mannose amounts. Our serving-size guide covers why the Serving Size line is the basis for every amount on the panel.
3. Convenience: what your routine has to support
Gummies need nothing - no water, no measuring, no mixing - and a bottle travels easily. Powder's preparation varies by product - check the label's measuring and preparation directions before deciding whether it fits your routine. Servings per container differ from product to product in both formats, so compare the Servings Per Container line and the cost per serving rather than assuming from the format. Storage is similar for both: follow the label, typically a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture. If gummy formats interest you generally, our gummies vs. capsules vs. powder vs. juice comparison applies the same format lens to beet root.
Where Vitamized stands
Vitamized D-Mannose, Cranberry & Hibiscus Gummies declare, per 2-gummy serving: 250 mg D-mannose, 30 mg cranberry 50:1 extract (equivalent to 1,500 mg of cranberry powder) and 25 mg hibiscus 10:1 extract (equivalent to 250 mg of hibiscus powder), with 5 g total sugars - all of it added sugars - and 20 calories. Each bottle holds 60 gummies, or 30 servings; the suggested use is 2 gummies daily for adults, and the product is made in the USA. The full Supplement Facts and Other Ingredients are published on the product page - the numbers above are read directly from it.
